Reading is Fundamental but that doesn't mean it can't but FUN. That is especially true for children and that's why we are thrilled to join our friends at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library on October 18, 2023, for our parent workshop on Active Reading via Zoom. That's right, you can join in from wherever you are.
Introducing literacy early on is KEY to building a solid foundation on which children can further develop their literacy and language skills. Not only that, children who learn to read early on benefit from higher levels of engagement, expanded vocabulary, and boosted confidence, PLUS they'll be kindergarten ready. This is critically important as children move from "learning to read, to reading to learn" as they get older. This readiness will prove to be immensely beneficial as they progress through preschool and beyond. By instilling a love for reading early on, we can set children up for success in all areas of their education, well into their future.
Let's empower our children with the gift of literacy and provide the tools they need to thrive academically and beyond. Together, we can make reading a fun and fundamental part of their lives!
